Working Principle And Components Of DC Stabilized Power Supply
Mar 22, 2024
DC stabilized power supply is a commonly used power supply in electronic products. Its working principle is to convert AC power into DC power through a voltage regulator controller and maintain the output voltage at the set value. In this article, we will provide a detailed introduction to the working principle and main components of a DC control power supply.
The regulated DC power supply mainly consists of a transformer, rectifier circuit, filtering circuit, and regulator. Transformers are used to convert alternating current at a certain voltage level into alternating current. The rectifier converts alternating current into direct current, and during the conversion process, the filtering circuit removes ripple. The voltage regulator adjusts the output voltage in real-time based on feedback signals to meet the set value requirements and ensure stable and reliable power supply.
The working principle of a regulated DC power supply can be briefly explained in the following steps.
1. Transformer conversion: AC power is converted from the voltage level of the input power supply to a stable neutral line voltage through a transformer.
2. Rectification circuit: Medium voltage converts alternating current into direct current through a rectifier. Rectifiers typically use components such as rectifiers to convert negative half cycle current into positive half cycle current.
3. Filter circuit: The DC filter circuit eliminates the ripple caused by the rectifier, making the voltage more stable. Capacitors are commonly used for seamless filtering and ripple current averaging.
4. Voltage regulator: A filtered DC input voltage regulator that adjusts the output voltage in real time through a comparator and feedback circuit based on the set point and feedback signal. When the output voltage deviates from the set value, the regulator will automatically adjust the control signal, adjust the disconnection time of the power switch, and make the output voltage close to the set value.
Voltage regulators typically use feedback circuits to reliably control the output voltage. The feedback circuit compares the output voltage with the set value and feeds back the comparison result to the controller. The controller adjusts the control signal based on the size and direction of the feedback signal, and adjusts the output voltage by controlling the breaking time of the power switch.
The reliability of a DC stabilized power supply depends on the accuracy and responsiveness of the controller. Regulators usually have overvoltage protection and overcurrent protection. If the output voltage is too high or overloaded, the power can be cut off in a timely manner to protect the connected electronic devices from damage.
Other auxiliary functions, such as power switch, overload protection, and over temperature protection. It can also be added to a regulated DC power supply. These characteristics can further improve the reliability and safety of the power supply.
The regulated DC power supply converts the AC power supply into a specified voltage DC power supply through a transformer, and processes it through rectification, filters, and regulators to provide a stable output voltage. DC control power supply has the characteristics of stable output, fast response speed, and strong protection function, and is widely used in electronic products.
